Ok my VW Jetta just cost me nearly $1000 to fix problems that weren't that serious...I knew going in VW are lots of money, but I'm thinking of selling it. Mine is a '98 with 80k miles on it, and my friend found a '97 Civic 5 speed with 90k on it, but totally redone by his mechanic friend that has gotten every single one of my buddy's family's cars up to 250k. The VW is losing value rapidly, and it's usually reliable, but I don't think it'll get to 250k. The Civic is 5grand, and I could probably sell my VW for around 5500. What do you all think? im back. my civic has not given me any trouble. its very trustworthy, and when im buying a new car, im checking with honda first. so you could guess where i would lean here. I was just goofin'. I don't particularly like the way Civics look, and there are a whole hell of a lot of annoying people with stupid-loud, annoying, mosquito-humming Civics that have pissed me off horribly. But other than that small cosmetic disagreement, nothin' wrong with it. Besides the fact that I would be unable to fit in the thing. Lol. So... Ignore me. But Honda being Japanese means: consistent quality, good mileage, cheap replacement parts. Har-har. So.. Word.

also means 20 times as likely to get stolen.
so maybe consider that as well.

also means 20 times as likely to get stolen. so maybe consider that as well. True, as well. Toyota Camry, Honda Accord, and Honda Civic are the top three cars to be reported stolen.
