Oops! Stapp, Rock stars of online sex video
February hasn't been a kind month to rock singer Scott Stapp. A week after getting busted at Los Angeles International Airport on suspicion of being intoxicated, the former Creed singer is facing further embarrassment from the fact that a reportedly highly graphic sex tape starring himself and Kid Rock has been acquired by the same company that unleashed the Paris Hilton sex tape on the world.
According to reports by E! Online and Billboard magazine, the 40-minute, 1999 tape features Stapp and Kid Rock engaging in a variety of sex acts with four female fans on a tour bus. In one scene, says E! Online, Stapp and Rock are being "pleasured" by the young women -- whom, we presume, originally ventured onto the tour bus with the sole intention of discussing the delicate chord changes in Stapp's music -- when Stapp smiles at the camera and says, "This is my third. It's good to be the king."
Red Light District told Billboard it purchased the 45-minute video shot in 1999 from a "third-party source." The company, which released the Paris Hilton tape, has posted a 45-second clip of the tape on two Web sites, and plans to release the entire tape in the near future.
Red Light District President David Joseph told Billboard he has tried unsuccessfully to contact Stapp and Kid Rock about the tape but does not believe he needs their consent to release it on the Internet.
"This wasn't just shot by one person -- there were a lot of people holding the camera," he says. "Because of that, it's not necessary that we need (Rock and Stapp) to sign off on this. We left messages for them but they didn't respond, so maybe they didn't take it seriously."
Neither Rock nor Stapp have commented on the reported tape.
