Ok my VW Jetta just cost me nearly $1000 to fix problems that weren't that serious...I knew going in VW are lots of money, but I'm thinking of selling it. Mine is a '98 with 80k miles on it, and my friend found a '97 Civic 5 speed with 90k on it, but totally redone by his mechanic friend that has gotten every single one of my buddy's family's cars up to 250k. The VW is losing value rapidly, and it's usually reliable, but I don't think it'll get to 250k. The Civic is 5grand, and I could probably sell my VW for around 5500. What do you all think?
