That seems strange. I think that car actually has 2 seperate sections of the light for low and high beams. It's possible to blow out the regular lights w/o the highs, but it seems strange for sure. You might just be able to ask someone at a parts store without having to take it into a shop. It could just be an easy fix.

That is an odd one, both sides going out. Call a local auto parts store and ask them to look up your car and see if there is a seperate relay for the high beams and low beams. Usually it's just one headlight relay, but it's worth a check. Also, I recommend you double check the fuse thing, if you find the headlight fuse, see what color it is, grab another one of the same color from something else and trade, that's a good way to make sure the fuse is okay.
If it's neither of those two things i'm left thinking wiring, which is kinda bad, because it's ahrd to find where the short is. It is still possible that both bulbs went out at the same time, but we know it's unlikely.
That's all I have to offer. Relay, fuses, wiring, bulbs.

My gas gauge doesnt work...it moves and shit, but doesnt actualy tell me how much gas i have, it usauly chills around 3/4 and full..
my friend thinks it could be the senser thing in the tank...but that and the fuel pump is all one unit and thats about 130 bucs...and i dont really feel like dropping the tank, risk breaking a fuel line, and finding out i just wasted 130 bucs and a few hours of my life...
any ideas?
im really getting sick using my trip counter and estimating how much gas i have left...and not to mention running out of gas...has happened a few times...

Agreed, unless its something that has come undone somewhere, a cable, something almost impossible to find unless you get lucky, it most likely is the float in the tank. Usually you have to drop the tank, as you said, remove the fuel pump assembly and you'll find the float attached to it. Likely something has just come undone in there or something is in the way of the float, keeping it from dropping on down, something like that.
If the float itself were to need to be replaced, it can be hard to get just that, most major auto parts stores do not sell the float by itself, just the whole assembly, which will be expensive as you've said. Might call some junkyards, but I have a sneaky feeling they aren't going to be a ton of help either.
If it were my car, i'd keep doing what you're doing, unless its a nice car you plan to keep for a few more years. Keep a gallon of gas in the trunk.
