i've been playing this game. it brings my PC to it's knees. you would need a serious machine to run this game properly even on medium graphics, methinks. there is so much lag on low.
that said, this game is the shizzlenizzle. if you aren't familiar with the TA format, thats alright because it actually goes way beyond TA.
any of you who still think starcraft, or c&c, or any of your puny so-called rts games are the best ever, um, you may aswell be playing the original Dune II game.
if you have a serious machine and like RTS... damn, buy or download this game. i couldn't make it work with a cd image but maybe there is a way.
i don't want to overstate the fact but..... any RTS you mention is a piece of crap, unless you are talking about supreme commander. the entire genre currently belongs to this game.
i hate to think how good those koreans are gonna be at this game.
ACCEPT 'THE WAY' OR BE CLEANSED!!!!!
don't play without a scrolling mouse either.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE try to argue with me.

I would argue with you... But... I haven't played Supreme Commander.
As such, it would be silly to argue.

if you just look it up you'll come around to my way of thinking.
imagine wherever your mouse is, you scroll and it zooms in. zoomed in is ordinary rts. now imagine you can zoom out however far you want and see the entire battlefield, units and things represented as little icons.
now imagine that every other aspect of the gamer-to-game interface pisses all over any rts you've ever dreamed of.
imagine being able to coordinate attacks so they reach their target at the same time... easily putting things into various types of formations with a couple clicks... selecting every unit of a particular type on the battlefield in one second..
also in the vein of TA there are about 150 units, something like that.
the unit limit is 500 i think. at that point my computer wants to be euthenised.

the people who enjoy seven tedious hours of sending great armies at each others bases, constructing masses of turrets, radar, shields, jammers, nukes, missile defence, artillery, factories and resource-makers.
