actually people in that region mainly hate us for the reason that we support israel. we could have had very cordial relations with all of that region if we hadn't made that gigantic blunder back in the 1940s. all this wouldn't be happening today if we had just resolved the crisis back then in a fair way, instead of blatantly supporting the jews at the expense of the christans and muslims.
they could have just set up a secular democratic state there. there was some consideration given to this idea, but the jews wouldn't have that. instead, we decided to displace hundreds of thousands of people from their homes and give the majority of the holy land to the minority. most of the people currently residing in israel weren't even there to begin with, they migrated.
edit: it wasn't all america's fault. britain and france are also very responsible for that mess that the west created there.

america should keep it's nose out of other people's problems unless they involve us. if you go around sticking your nose into other people's business all the time, bad things will happen to you.
people here we so shocked when 9/11 happened. well something like that was bound to happen at some time or another.
nobody asked us to attack iraq. we did so because we wanted to and we did it against the wishes of the UN and most of the world. so that excuse that they would complain if we did nothing isn't valid.
george washington's foreign policy was the best. he believed that we should just mind our own business, and limit our relations with other countries to cordial trading relations. he said we shouldn't be involved in other people's fights or try to take over their resources etc. how far we have strayed from that.

i have nothing againts the people in israel, but...
the creation of the country was just unfair...
just imagine, hawk, that i have this religion that's quite different from yours. then i go to your house and say that it's a holy place for my people, and also that my god gave my people that land. i can prove it because it is in my holy book. so, you gotta go.
just words, huh? but then armed people say that you shall do whatever the fuck i want, because they support me, and they are armed. as time pasts, the armed guys kick your neighbours out of their houses so my people can live in them.
your 'hood is now filled with my people, who are armed, and there is also the armed guys who will come if something happens to us.
that's the history of israel. that's why it's stupid. kicking out the jews would be stupid too, but israel should stop creating new settlements in the arabs' lands, and stop treating them like crap...
and i know about this, i've done a lot of research, a lot.

Didn't Israel attack one of our ships back in the 60s or something? What the hell was that for? actually yes.

yeah, a bunch of israeli jets took out an american reconaissance ship killing quite a few men. they said it was an accident, but there is some evidence to the contrary. one theory is that they took out the ship because it has witnessed some of the massacres that took place. what jorge said is true. that conflict should just be left to resolve itself. and i believe it will. the arab population in israel is growing rapidly. if this same growth rate continues, arabs will be the majority in israel in about 20 years. this is why sharon wants to give some predominantly arab parts of israel to the palestinians as part of his "disengagement plan"

there are lots of conspiracy theories, namely that we'd think it was random arabs and basically wipe them out
