I just happened to think about it and logged in, it's still there, hasn't had a new post in forever. Redid the colors a bit and figured i'd mention it, it'll just sit there and anytime someone gets in the mood they are more than welcome to browse and post and make new threads. Like I said when I made it, once in a while it may get popular and active for a little bit, but mostly it will probably be more of a pen pal kinda thing where you get in the mood and make some posts and later on someone else will get in the mood and reply and make some posts. There are some good threads on there already. polyology.proboards24.com/index.cgi

i always wondered about one of the posters names, Beren. it's from the silmarillion. if i'm not forgetting anybody, beren was the most ideal man ever to live in middle earth. he was a friend to all animals, the greatest human warrior, and even stood in the same room as melkor (or morgoth) and retrieved the simarils in exchange for permission to marry luthien. aragorn is king because of his descendance from beren. beren married luthien, the daughter of an elvish king (thingol), who was married not to an elf but one of the whatsitcalled, earth-bound demigod things. not a valar but a lesser demigod. therefore aragorn is part numenorean, part elf, and part whatsitcalled.
good screen name.

earth-bound demigod things. not a valar but a lesser demigod. I think you mean the Maiar. Such as Sauron, Balrog, Gandalf and the other wizards. Isn't Galadriel one too? She was around so long ago that she was among those who walked to middle-earth through the frozen wasteland.

galadriel is simply one of the most noble elves still in middle earth. well, the most noble, along with celeborn.
yeah maiar is what i was looking for. I think the term includes all of Illuvatars first children, even the ones who never came to earth. Valar are included too, but they are greater, and they all went to earth i think. Silmarillion rules.
