I agree with Mav, it's to keep dummies alive. lol
Not to be rude, but I really don't understand your sister's logic. If I'd been in a rollover accident and went thru the windshield, I can't think of anything that would cement seatbelt safety more than that.
On a sidenote, I'm glad she came out of it okay.

there shouldnt be a law to wear seat belts because you should do that for yourself. seat belt laws are unnecessary, just like that stupid windshield wiper law. less dumb laws = better, the only reason why it exists it to give states more money for seat belt tickets.

ya so let them find out the hard way, there's no need to make a law about it. it's like having a law to wipe your ass.
the windshield wiper law: if you have your wipers on you must have your head lights on.

I'm kinda with Jackilyn. If they're going to be dumb enough to not keep themselves safe...
Ehh, maybe we're better off without 'em?

about herion, yes. about the windshield wiper law, i agree it's safer for other people but you should have enough common sense to turn them on then.

I'd like to think it would be their fault (the accident), but I guess I could pull out in front of someone too.
